AELS joins AFRA

October 30, 2006

AELS is very pleased to announce our membership of AFRA. AFRA, Aircraft Fleet Recycling Association, is a global organization formed to improve aircraft retirement practices. The Boeing Company initiated the founding of the association, which was formalised June first, 2006. AELS is looking forward to cooperate with other members in developing new technologies and procedures to improve end-of-life strategies all over the world. We believe that our membership reflects the trust of other members in our qualities and our positive contribution in reaching the AFRA goals.

Disposal Embraer 120

October 10, 2006

AELS is currently working on a project at Siegerland Airport in Germany. AELS will arrange the disposal of the leftovers of an Embraer 120, that was parked on the airport for a few years. AELS is hired by Allegiance Air to arrange this.

AELS is using this project to test new recycle technologies in cooperation with Synvase. The goal of this project is to determine interesting technologies, which will make it possible to acquire a higher recycle rate than possible with standard technologies. A higher recycle rate is of course directly linked to a lower environmental impact, one of the continuous points of attention of AELS.
