AELS in The Leonardo Times

The Society of Aerospace Students VSV ‘Leonardo da Vinci’ was established in 1945. The society organizes many activities for its members, more than 95% of all students at the TU Delft University Faculty of Aerospace Engineering. Currently there are approximately 2300 members, making the Society of Aerospace Engineering Students the largest society of its kind in the Benelux.

The Leonardo Times is the magazine of the VSV 'Leonardo da Vinci'. Each year, four editions are distributed among the students of the faculty, members of the Delft Aerospace Alumni, faculty staff and relations of the VSV. The Leonardo Times contains articles about scientific research done by faculty staff, interviews with prominent members of the aerospace industry as well as miscellaneous aerospace related articles written by students.

AELS General Manager, TU Delft University Alumni and former member of the VSV, Derk-Jan van Heerden was interviewed for the July 2015 edition of The Leonardo Times. Derk-Jan talked about the core business of AELS, the company’s global strategy and what the future holds for AELS and End-of-Life Solutions for aircraft around the world.
