  •  As of today AELS is offering the aviation industry an environmentally friendly solution for aircraft components. This new service is offered in cooperation with Recylux near Maastricht Aachen Airport.

  • AELS cooperated in the publishing of two new articles on aircraft recycling. The first was published in the German magazine "Recycling Magazine". The second article was written by Brijan Irion of AELS and published in "Aviation and the Environment" magazine.

  • A total end-of-life solution was provided for 8 Fokker F27 aircraft in one single project. This project was executed between September 2008 and February 2009. A story about this project with pictures is now online.

  • The daily Dutch newspaper "Het Financieele Dagblad" (The Financial Daily) has a weekly article on young entrepreneurs. An article was devoted to Derk-Jan van Heerden, founder of AELS.

  •  During the months of April and May 2009, the International Centre for Emergency Techniques (ICET) will be conducting consecutive one-week SAVER "Advanced Aircraft Rescue TrainingAircraft Rescue" Courses in cooperation with AELS.

  • The world economy is suffering heavily from the financial crisis. The metal prices have fallen dramatically within a very short period. Car manufacturers, by far the largest users of aluminium casting alloys, are cutting their production.

  • A weekly magazine, called Volkskrant Banen, by the Dutch newspaper De Volkskrant on job opportunities and careers published an article about AELS. A shorter version of the Article was also published in the daily newspaper of October 21, 2008.

  • AELS is supporting the Hardis Project of the Delft University of Technology with our knowledge and resources. This projects aims at developing Human Assist Robot systems for DISassembly (HARDIS) of obsolete products.

  •  AELS is offering 9 complete Fokker F27 aircraft, currently parked at Cologne Airport in Germany, to engineering schools all over Europe. With this project AELS supports the aviation industry in training the engineers that are desperately needed.

  • On the 19th and 20th of November the Aviation Industry Group is organizing a conference with the title: Aviation, the Environment & Emission Trading. The conference will be given in the Renaissance Hotel in Brussels.
