On the 16th and 17th of January 2008 the Airline Engineering & Maintenance Conference for the Indian Sub-Continent will be held. Derk-Jan van Heerden, general manager of AELS, will give a presentation with the title: "Parting Out Aircraft & Engines". The presentation will give insight to owners of aircraft on how to make a balanced decision between disassembling an aircraft (or engine) or not. Additionally the latest developments in this niche market will be presented.
The conference is now in its 3rd successful year. Following the 2007 conference which was chaired by K.M. Unni, Director of Engineering, Air India, and Hitesh Patel, VP Engineering & Maintenance, Kingfisher Airlines, the 2008 event will again bring together airline engineering & maintenance professionals from all types of airlines, along with manufacturers, maintenance providers, parts suppliers, financiers, regulatory authorities and consultants to share knowledge and discuss new developments and important issues facing the industry in the region. In addition to providing an excellent opportunity to learn from experienced industry professionals, the conference and its social functions will give delegates the chance to network and socialise with existing industry friends and new business partners.
